Hundreds of Mounties are set to gather in Langley, B.C. today to honour their fallen colleague, Const. Adrian Oliver.
Oliver, 28, was killed on-duty on Nov. 13 when his unmarked cruiser was hit by a transport truck in Surrey. His death captured attention the attention of Canadians and condolences poured in from across the country.
Dignitaries in attendance include RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson, Justice Minister Shirely Bond and Surrey Mayor Diane Watts. Const. Oliver's twin brother is also scheduled to deliver a speech.
Oliver's death was the first on-duty fatality for Surrey RCMP since 1975.
