No one seriously injured in school bus accident

Police are saying that all of the students travelling on board a school bus escaped serious injuries following an accident Thursday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m. a bus travelling southbound on Highway 15 near Sainte-Thérèse, Que. was cut off by a transport truck.

Police said the bus driver clipped the transport truck and then swerved into the grassy median of the highway.

The bus ended up going the wrong way in the northbound lanes where it hit two cars.

Sgt. Benoit Richard said none of the injuries is serious.

According to Richard, five individuals were injured including the bus driver, the drivers of two cars, and two teachers who were inside the bus.

All of the 32 students who were on board the bus are being checked out at the Saint-Jérôme hospital as a precaution.

Richard says he's not sure if charges will be laid.
