Gatineau police cruiser involved in collision

Three people, including one Gatineau police officer, were taken to hospital after a collision Saturday evening at the intersection of La Verendrye and Greber Boulevards.

A police cruiser was on an emergency call just after 5:30 p.m. with roof lights and siren activated when it was struck by a car at the intersection.

Gatineau police said five people were treated for injuries and three were taken to hospital but no one suffered serious injuries.

The police officer in the passenger seat of the cruiser was taken to hospital after reporting hip pain, said Gatineau police.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward, as they continue to investigate.
