HALIFAX - A panel reviewing regional economic development authorities in Nova Scotia will release its report Wednesday.

The provincial government appointed the panel this summer to provide recommendations on the best approach to create jobs and grow the economy.

Ottawa announced earlier this year it would end its portion of funding for the authorities in May 2013.

The authorities are funded by the federal, provincial and municipal governments.
