Police have arrested two teenage brothers on Montreal's West Island, after a stabbing left one man with serious injuries last night.

On Saturday, at about 10:30 p.m., police reported that a fight broke out between two brothers and another young man in the yard of a residence on 5th Avenue South in Roxboro.

Police said the disagreement was about an unpaid debt.

One brother, 18, stabbed the victim with a sharp object. According to police, he then asked for his younger brother, 17, for help.

The victim suffered severe injuries to his upper body and was transported to a hospital last night.

The two suspects were arrested at the scene.
