What's better than a gingerbread White House or a gingerbread Sphinx? How about an entire gingerbread city?

Muji, the stylish Japanese department store, has commissioned a 100-house gingerbread town called Yurakucho, according to The Atlantic.

The store has also installed a 24-hour livecam so you can see the picturesque little burg in action. You can watch the video above to see the adorable Japanese moppets who built Yurakucho's buildings and check out more amazing photos of the town below (story continues after slideshow).

Yurakucho has some competition from a group of gingerbread architects from Washington, D.C., who created Gingertown, a dessert neighbourhood they're creating to raise money for charity.
