Calgary MLA Christine Cusanelli Repays Taxpayers After Flying Family Members To Olympics

A provincial cabinet minister has been forced to repay $10,600 for dozens of expenses racked up in her first five months in office, including a $4,000 airfare charge to have her daughter and mother fly with her to the London Olympics.

While Tourism, Parks and Recreation Minister Christine Cusanelli’s press secretary characterized the expenses as rookie mistakes, critics suggested it was another example of an entitled Progressive Conservative politician being too cavalier with public dollars.
