DIY Jewellery: How To Make Tassel Earrings

How To Make DIY Tassel Earrings
TheKit.ca

There were a ton of tassels on the fall 2012 runways, so what better way to add a little tassel love to your life than to make something yourself. These standout earrings are super quick to make and can be made in a variety of colour combinations to suit any personality - have fun with it!

What you’ll need:

2 tassels

Hypoallergenic earring hooks

Scrap piece of leather (thanks Brave Leather for our metallic leather piece!)

E-6000 glue

Toothpick

Scissors

Method:

1. Cut 2 strips of leather that measure 1/8 to 1/4-inch wide, and are long enough to wrap around the top of your tassel.

2. Use the toothpick to apply the glue to the back of the leather and to the top indent of your tassel. Wrap the leather around and secure into place. Cut off any excess leather.

3. Hook the tassel onto the earring hook and set aside for 24 hours until the glue is set on the piece of leather.
