Downtown Vancouver Assault: 3 Women In Hospital

One man is in police custody after three women were attacked in downtown Vancouver on Friday morning. One may not survive.

Police are appealing to the public to help identify one of the victims, an elderly woman in her 70s-80s, who was attacked at 9:30 a.m. She has grey salt-and-pepper hair, 5' feet tall and 105 lbs. The victim was also wearing two rings on her left hand and a silver bracelet on her right wrist.

She remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a Vancouver police news release.

A second woman was attacked shortly after in the 700 block of Pacific Boulevard. She remains in hospital recovering from injuries.

Just minutes later across the street, the third woman was assaulted. She is in hospital in grave condition.

Police say it does not appears that the victims knew their attacker.
