Woman Throws Marijuana To Husband In BC Court

Here's Some Pot For Jail, Honey!

A woman shocked court workers when she tossed a bag of marijuana to her common-law husband — as he sat in a B.C. courtroom's prisoner box.

The man was in Williams Lake provincial court for a hearing on several outstanding warrants Tuesday. During his hearing, the woman threw the pot into the prisoner's box, said RCMP in a news release.

"The incident was witnessed by those in the courtroom and she was arrested at the scene for trafficking," said police.

"In my time as a police officer, I've seen, and heard of, a number of odd criminal offences but I have to admit this is definitely one of the stranger ones," said RCMP Insp. Warren Brown.
