If we've learned anything from celebrities this past year, it's that their bodies can be moulded into any shape.

We saw new baby mama bodies, dramatic changes for movie roles and celebrities who were simply tired of how they looked. Most celebrities (or so they've claimed) lost weight the traditional way, by watching their portions and exercising moderately. Others, like Jessica Simpson, Rebel Wilson and retired basketball player Charles Barkley, joined fitness and diet programs to give them that extra push.

Last year, we saw the biggest body changes from stars like Jersey Shore's Jenni "J-Woww" Farley, actor Jonah Hill (who looks like he gained his weight back in 2012) and Carrie Fisher, who lost a total of 50 pounds in 2011.

Who would you add to our list? Let us know in the comments below:

BEFORE AND AFTER: The biggest body transformations of 2012:

BEFORE: Perez Hilton

Celebrity Body Transformations 2012

Perez Hilton:

THE CHANGE: In 2012, "Queen of all Media" Perez Hilton lost almost 70 pounds. The gossip guru told Shape.com his secret to weight loss was nothing more than eating healthy and exercising regularly.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "Like so many people, I have struggled with my weight throughout my entire life. Thankfully though, at the beginning of 2008, I made a commitment to my health and I have stuck to it. Nearly four years later and I am in the best shape of my life!," he told Shape.com.

Paula Deen:

THE CHANGE: 2012 was a tough year for celebrity chef Paula Deen, who announced she had type 2 diabetes in January. After harsh criticism of hiding her health condition and her prior love for deep-fried foods, Deen committed to losing 30 pounds in six months by eating in moderation and cutting portion sizes.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "It took me a couple of years to get to this point,” Deen told People Magzine in June. “If you make a few small changes, they can add up to big results."

Jessica Simpson:

THE CHANGE: Singer Jessica Simpson's post-baby body is something to talk about. Six months after giving birth, Simpson lost a total of 60 pounds through Weight Watchers, according to People Magazine.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel," she told People Magazine in September. "I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself."

Jordin Sparks:

THE CHANGE: The road to weight loss wasn't an easy one for Jordin Sparks. The singer told USA Today it took her about two years to lose 50 pounds. With a mix of watching her diet and eating more nutritious foods, Sparks says she took baby steps to live a healthier lifestyle.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "I was really evaluating what I was eating, when,” she said. "And why I was eating it. I love food and so I was just eating because it tasted good. I kind of re-evaluated that. Now I definitely listen to my body first," she told USA Today.

Amber Riley:

IN HER OWN WORDS: "I've always been comfortable with my size. I just decided it was time to get healthy," according to The Daily Mail.

Kelly Clarkson:

THE CHANGE: This summer, singer Kelly Clarkson opened up to US Weekly about trimming down almost 30 pounds. One source told the magazine the singer was inspired to lose weight after watching a performance of herself and feeling uncomfortable with the way she looked. Her secret? Working out and eating healthier.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "It's just trying to eat a little better and work out a little more. But no matter what size I am I love performing no matter how big or little I am! I feel good," she told US Weekly magazine.

Khloe Kardashian:

THE CHANGE: Reality star Khloe Kardashian slimmed down in 2012 after changing up her diet, working out regularly and using customized workout plans by top celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, according to WetPaint.

IN HER OWN WORDS: “I’m working out consistently, three to five days a week. I’m not where I want to be…but it’s a lifestyle change," she told Life & Style magazine.

Charles Barkley:

THE CHANGE: Retired basketball player Charles Barkley lost 42 pounds after making the "manly" move to join Weight Watchers — and prove to men everywhere that getting back in shape through a program isn't just for the ladies, according to Men's Health.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "The fact that I'm dropping pounds, getting healthier and getting paid at the same time is my definition of a great scam," according to a statement by Weight Watchers. Barkley was in a controversial mix-up when he was originally quoted calling Weight Watchers a scam.

Sharon Osbourne:

THE CHANGE: Sharon Osbourne is the perfect example of how fitness can start at any age. The 60-year-old TV star told 'The Talk' she lost 28 pounds this year by going on the Atkins diet. Another likely factor may have been preparation for her double mastectomy, which took place in November.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "I've struggled with my weight for my entire life. I've been fat and I've been thin. I wanted to be healthy and keep up with my family," she told 'The Talk'.

Aishwarya Rai:

THE CHANGE: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai was criticized during the first half of the year for not losing her baby weight quickly enough for her "celebrity status," according to International Business Times. Fortunately, the star didn't let any of this get to her head and is continuing to get back to her original body size on her own time. You go girl!

IN HER OWN WORDS: Even though the actress hasn't made a statement about her weight loss just yet, both her husband and father-in-law (two other big names in Bollywood) spoke out in her defense, according to One Entertainment India.

Jennie Garth:

THE CHANGE: After splitting with her husband Peter Facinelli in March, the 'Beverly Hills 90210' star lost a total of 30 pounds by eating a diet of Greek yogurt, salads, salmon and coconut water, and training twice a week, according to The Daily Mail.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "Physically I didn't look my best, and mentally I didn't feel my best. I was doing everything I could to be a good mom, but that was all I could handle," she told People Magazine.

Janet Jackson:

THE CHANGE: A star who has gone up and down with her weight over the years, singer Janet Jackson told critics this time she lost it the healthy way — oh and by joining weight loss and diet program Nutrisystem. Jackson claims she lost weight by simply eating in moderation and exercising, according to the Daily Mail.

IN HER OWN WORDS: 'I've had a problem with my body image. You need to look at yourself and say, "I like this, I feel good about this. I feel healthy, I feel strong and this is where I want to be,"' she told People Magazine.

Hilary Duff:

THE CHANGE: Another post-baby weight loss story, singer Hilary Duff says she's spending time with her new baby and slowly getting back to her original shape, according to FanShare.com. But in the meantime, Duff's secrets include shadow boxing, pilates and yoga with trainer Harley Pasternak.

IN HER OWN WORDS: “I am worried because everyone wants their body back. It's all in time, you know? It took nine months to get there, so hopefully it won't take that long to get it off. But I'm doing it slowly," she told Access Hollywood Live.

Rebel Wilson:

THE CHANGE: After joining Jenny Craig in 2012, actress Rebel Wilson has already lost 33 pounds, with a goal of 55 pounds in total, according to Celebuzz.com.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "If I had to run like in an emergency situation, if I was lighting my own fireworks or Channing Tatum was at the end of the street and I just had to run, like pissbolt, I could do that now,” Wilson joked.

Beyonce:

THE CHANGE: After giving birth to baby Blue Ivy in January, the singer dropped 60 pounds by sticking to a whole foods diet, according to US Weekly.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "Y'all have no idea how hard I worked. I had to lose 60 pounds!" Beyonce reportedly said during a Memorial Day weekend show in Atlantic City. "They had me on that treadmill — I ate lettuce!"

Matthew McConaughey:

THE CHANGE: Actor Matthew McConaughey committed to losing 30 pounds to play his character in "The Dallas Buyer's Club," he told Larry King.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: After receiving harsh comments from users online, the actor explained he was doing this for a role. "I'm eating fresh fish. I'm just eating small amounts. I'm not being starved... I'm taking care of myself," he told The Daily Beast.

Jaleel White:

THE CHANGE: On his "Dancing with the Stars" spot in 2012, actor Jaleel White (aka Steve Urkel) lost a total of 13 pounds just from performing, according to the Examiner.

IN HIS OWN WORDS:: "I feel in better shape than I have been since I was in college," he told US Weekly.

Jenna Fischer:

THE CHANGE: Actress Jenna Fischer lost all her post-baby weight in 2012 by eating healthy and even enjoying 90-calorie brownies, according to People Magazine.

IN HER OWN WORDS: “It’s taken me every day of 10 months to lose the weight,” she told People Magazine. “I was a fit and active person before I had my son, but if there’s one thing I could do for a new mom, it’d be to alleviate her of any guilt or any stress over the idea of having her body look a certain way.”

Vanessa Hudgens:

THE CHANGE: Actress Vanessa Hudgens put on 10 pounds (and chopped off her hair) for her role in the upcoming movie 'Gimme Shelter,' where she plays a pregnant teen who runs away from an abusive home, according to Glamour Magazine.

IN HER OWN WORDS: Hudgens hasn't confirmed how she lost or even gained the weight for her role, but she told People Magazine that it “automatically puts her into a different headspace."

Anne Hathaway:

THE CHANGE: With two big movies under her belt in 2012 (black leather-wearing Catwoman in 'The Dark Knight Rises' and emaciated Fantine in 'Les Miserables'), the star lost 25 pounds and was even rumoured to be eating a 500-calorie diet every day.

IN HER OWN WORDS: “I had to be obsessive about it — the idea was to look near death [for Les Miserables]. Looking back on the whole experience — and I don’t judge it in any way — it was definitely a little nuts," she said.

Maggie Gyllenhaal:

THE CHANGE: Another post-baby body, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal was reportedly back to her original baby size just six weeks after giving birth to her second child, according to U.S. Weekly.

IN HER OWN WORDS: "For most of my life, I've done yoga and only yoga. I do the very athletic form of yoga-- Ashtanga," Maggie told Self Magazine in 2011.
