ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - A health authority in eastern Newfoundland is restricting visitors to one senior's residence in St. John's and another in Clarke's Beach due to respiratory illnesses.

Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home in Clarke’s Beach and to the Hoyles building of the Hoyles Escasoni Complex in St. John's will only be allowing visits from immediate family.

Families are advised to call ahead if they're coming to the facilities.

The public is also reminded not to visit any health care facility if they feel ill or are experiencing flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms.
