Pedestrian injured in east Toronto crash

One man is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Toronto's east end Saturday night.

At around 8 p.m. Saturday a pedestrian was struck by a car at the intersection of Danforth and Eglinton avenues, according to police.

The man in his 40s suffered injuries to his head, arms and legs.

The driver remained at the scene.

Toronto police are investigating.
