Woman, 46, killed in Montreal car crash

A 46-year-old woman was killed in a car crash at the intersection of Côte Vertu Boulevard and Cavendish Boulevard in Montreal's Ville Saint-Laurent borough on Boxing Day.

Police used the jaws of life to remove her from the front passenger seat.

The vehicle in question was parked at a red light at the intersection and was rear-ended by a minivan around 11:20 a.m.

Three other passengers were taken to the hospital but authorities do not fear for their lives.

The driver of the minivan was treated on the scene.

Richer said it was too early to know if the man would be charged for the incident.

Investigators are on the scene.
