Man stabbed outside Vancouver Denny's restaurant

Vancouver police are investigating a stabbing outside a Denny's restaurant on Southwest Marine Drive near Ash Street on Friday afternoon.

Police say at around 4:30 p.m. PT, the 21-year-old Vancouver man was attacked in the parking lot by several men wearing masks.

"The man was taken to hospital by ambulance with multiple stab wounds. His injuries are described as serious," said a statement released by police.

One suspect was arrested by Richmond RCMP shortly after the stabbing.

"It is still early in the investigation, but it appears that the attack was targeted. Police continue to search for other suspects," said the statement.
