VANCOUVER - Vancouver police are searching for a man and a woman who used a stolen pickup truck to ram a police cruiser.

Police had spotted a man breaking into a business Thursday night before he jumped into the truck where a woman passenger was waiting.

Officers used their vehicles to try to stop the truck but it smashed through a police car and sped into Burnaby, where it was found abandoned.

One police officer suffered minor injuries in the crash and got treatment from paramedics at the scene.

Police are looking for the suspects, including the driver, who they describe as a white man in his 50’s, five feet-10 inches tall with a heavy build.

They say he may have suffered a cut to his head in the collision.
