A WestJet plane slid off a snowy tarmac in Kelowna on Monday morning as it was departing the gate, bound for Edmonton.
"The nose wheel and the two main gear wheels on the right side of the aircraft slid off the apron," said a WestJet statement.
No one was injured in the 8 a.m. PT incident and 134 passengers were taken back to the airport terminal to be re-booked on other flights.
The plane will go through a maintenance check, said WestJet. Flight 150 was an aircraft from the Boeing 737-700 Next Generation series.
Heavy snowfall and limited visibility has closed the Kelowna airport intermittently on Monday morning, leading to some delayed and cancelled flights.
CORRECTION: An earlier headline said the plane slid off the runway. It has been corrected to tarmac.
