3 dead in 2 separate shootings in Surrey, B.C.

Three people are dead after two separate shootings in Surrey, B.C., Sunday evening.

Police say a man was found critically injured near a vacant lot near 168th Street and 76th Avenue just after 7 p.m. PT.

He was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

The victim has been identified as Manjot Dhillion, 27, of Surrey.

Police say the shooting appears gang related.

Just before midnight, two men were found dead in an apartment parkade at 128th Street and 94th Avenue.

A green SUV or pickup truck towing a box utility trailer was seen fleeing erratically from the scene.

Police say it's too early to tell if that shooting is gang related.

Investigators say there is no reason to believe the two incidents are related.
