TORONTO - Prime Minister Stephen Harper met with business leaders from the Toronto area today as part of an ongoing series of talks on the economy.

Harper held a roundtable discussion with a dozen business people from Peel Region, which includes three municipalities just outside the city.

The prime minister has promised to hold several cross-country discussions in the year ahead to hear what business leaders have to say about the economy.

Harper and Finance Minister Jim Flaherty met with businesswomen one week ago in Toronto to kick off the consultations.
