INVERNESS, N.S. - A Nova Scotia health authority has imposed visitor restrictions at a Cape Breton hospital due to an outbreak of influenza.

The Cape Breton District Health Authority says they hope the restrictions at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital will help limit the spread of the flu among patients.

Only family members over the age of 12 can visit and anyone who is feeling ill is asked not to visit the hospital.

The authority says two patients at the facility have flu and flu-like symptoms.
