Michelle Obama's Inauguration Outfit: Is Her Look Available In Canada? (PHOTOS)

Can You Find Michelle Obama's Inauguration Outfit In Canada?

It's Inauguration Day in the U.S., and while the majority of people are focused on Barack Obama as he officially marks his second term as President, our eyes (here at The Huffington Post Canada) are on First Lady Michelle Obama.

Donning a blue checked coat by Thom Browne, a studded belt from J.Crew and a necklace by Cathy Waterman, FLOTUS looked incredible as she stood by her husband in Washington D.C.

It's a look we'd love to recreate — if only the items were available for purchase in Canada.

According to the New York Times' Eric Wilson, "Thom Browne's coat and dress for Michelle Obama are both made of silk jacquard based on a necktie fabric, custom made for the First Lady." It's a material he initially designed for his fall/winter 2013 Paris Fashion Week show, reports Women's Wear Daily (WWD). Sadly, his collections aren't carried at Holt Renfrew or The Bay — and since this specific look was custom-made, it likely won't be available for purchase in the U.S. either.

As for her J.Crew belt and sparkly necklace, while each company's products can be purchased online and shipped to Canada, the exact accessories aren't currently in stock or in store.

At least there's one thing we can do to copy the First Lady's inaugural look: chop our bangs. It's one of the hottest beauty trends among Hollywood's A-list and, reportedly, it's a look President Barack Obama loves.

What do you think of Michelle Obama's outfit: is it something you'd want to copy (if only you could)?
