RED DEER, Alta. - Two Alberta Mounties have been treated for minor injuries after their cruiser was rammed by a stolen truck.

Red Deer RCMP say they received a tip that a man was selling stolen metals in an industrial area in the city.

The man was also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for violating parole.

Police say when they arrived, a man threatened to kill them, then tried to drive away but crashed into a police car.

The two injured officers were treated at the scene.
