Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down 31 cents, or 3.72 per cent, at $8.03 on 7,390,252 shares. The gold subgroup led the decliners, falling 3.10 per cent to 264.47 points.
Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Up three cents, or 0.74 per cent, at $4.07 on 5,779,105 shares.
Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurer. Up 15 cents, or 0.98 per cent, at $15.52 on 5,362,030 shares. The financial subgroup was up 0.09 per cent at 198.86 points.
B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Down six cents, or 1.81 per cent, at $3.26 on 4,154,156 shares.
Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD). Down 57 cents, or 5.34 per cent, at $10.10 on 4,128,824 shares.

Alston Energy Inc. (TSXV:ALO). Oil and gas. Unchanged at 2.5 cents on 4,473,000 shares. Alston said Thursday it is completing operations at its Provost asset in Alberta so that the well will be equipped for production in the first quarter.
Sterling Resources Ltd.(TSXV:SLG). Oil and gas. Down a penny, or 1.19 per cent, at 83 cents on 3,468,719 shares. The Calgary-based company received an unsolicited takeover offer earlier in the week from Netherlands-based Vitol Anker International.

Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX:RCI.B). Communications and media. Up $1.85, or 4.07 per cent, at $47.32 on 2,292,340 shares. The cable and telecommunications giant announced late Thursday that its CEO, Nadir Mohamed, will be leaving in January 2014. Rogers also bumped its dividend by 10 per cent due to strong fourth-quarter results.
Telus Corp. (TSX:T). Telecommunication. Up $1.03, or 1.54 per cent, at $67.81 on 1,356,537 shares. The telecommunications company's fourth-quarter profit jumped nearly 23 per cent, capping an "exceptional year." Improvement in the data and wireless revenues helped overall revenue climbed to $2.85 billion from year-earlier $2.69 billion.
