2 men wanted in northern Alberta home invasions arrested and in custody

BOYLE, Alta. - Two men wanted in two home invasions in northern Alberta are now in custody.

Police say a 79-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were injured in two separate home invasions on the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement on Feb. 2.

Mounties allege two people kicked in the door of the man, who remains in hospital, and say in the second, they asked to use the telephone.

Dakota Clane Boudreau who is 20, was arrested on Monday without incident in Heart Lake First Nation, 70 kilometres northeast of Lac la Biche.

David Norman Boudreau, who is 41, was arrested in Edmonton on Tuesday, and both face several charges, including forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

Dakota has a court date in Boyle on Feb. 12, but there is not one set yet for David.
