Celine Dion has performed around the world singing in both French and English. But the Quebecois singer has now added a new language to her repertoire — Mandarin — which she showed off as part of a television special celebrating the Chinese New Year.

According to DigitalSpy and posted on YouTube Dion performed a traditional folk song entitled "Jasmine Flower" (Mo Li Hua) with Chinese soprano Song Zuying. As shown in the video, Song Zuying begins the song before Dion sings her portion of the song which was part of the 2013 CCTV Spring Festival Gala on the China's state television outlet. The two then approach each other on the stage as numerous female dancers dressed in green are shown behind them.

"I had wonderful people in the studio with me, helping me to understand the meaning of the song," Dion — who also performed "My Heart Will Go On" on the special — said in an interview. "But even in between the lines of what you sing, you have to feel the music. You have to feel the passion. It's very difficult to pinpoint passion. It's very difficult to pinpoint emotion. That is something that is around us, and I think that lifts the music."

Dion's official website reports that the next single to be released from her latest album "Sans attendre" will be "Qui peut vivre sans amour?" A new batch of summer dates for Dion's return engagement to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas are expected to be announced soon.
