REDWATER, Alta. - Mounties have charged a bus driver with dangerous driving after a terrifying rollover northeast of Edmonton.

Several people were taken to hospital after a Red Arrow bus crashed last February on Highway 28 near Redwater.

One man described seeing the faces of fellow passengers scraped along the pavement as the bus skidded on its side down the highway.

Terry MacInnis, who is 67, faces 11 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

He is to appear in Fort Saskatchewan court on Feb. 28.

Red Arrow general manager John Stepovy says MacInnis was also injured in the crash and remains on medical leave.
