Teen charged in Tsawwassen stabbing death

A 17-year-old male has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder after one girl was killed and another sent to hospital in critical condition in a double stabbing on the Tsawwassen First Nation reserve.

Delta Police say they were called to the reserve around 10 p.m. PT Friday and found the two girls, aged 16 and 15, lying on the ground with stab wounds.

The 16-year-old died in hospital, where 15-year old is still in intensive care.

The male was taken into custody around midday Saturday.

No names have been released.
