Man beaten in home invasion in Saint-Amable

A man suffered serious head injuries last night in a home invasion in Saint-Amable, in the Montérégie region.

The man and his spouse were at home around 8:30 p.m., when four individuals entered inside.

According to the couple, two of the individuals were armed.

The attackers allegedly beat the man and stole some jewelry as well as $10,000 in cash.

Police said they believe the suspects are between 20 and 30 years old, but they have little information on the suspects' appearances. The suspects left in a vehicle.

An investigation has been opened, but no arrests have been made.

The man was taken to the Charles-Le Moyne hospital and police said his life is not in danger.
