Onex posts $77 million loss in fourth quarter, $39 million profit for 2012

VANCOUVER - Onex Corp. (TSX:OCX) recorded a $77 million net loss in the fourth quarter and ended the year with an annual net profit of $39 billion. The Toronto-based conglomerate, which buys, sells and manages a wide range of businesses in several industries, says its cash flow from operations was $784 million in the fourth quarter and $2 billion in 2012 as a whole, both up significantly from 2011. Revenue was $6.9 billion in the fourth quarter, up two per cent, while acquisitions pushed full-year revenue up 11 per cent to $27.4 billion.
