Fire crews were called to the home on 5500 block of Greenleaf road around 3:30 p.m. PT.
Crews identified a hazardous materials risk and the surrounding area was cleared out.
Const. Jeff Palmer says one person from the home was taken to hospital.
“There was one person identified at the residence upon attendance of emergency crews who was transported to hospital for assessment and possible treatment,” he said. “It was suspected the person may have suffered smoke inhalation.”
The RCMP Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team was called to the scene.
Residents were allowed to return to their homes once crews deemed the area safe, just before 9 p.m.
The house remains secured for further investigation.
