EDMONTON - A 17-year-old boy is facing more than 150 mischief charges for a series of alleged graffiti offences in Edmonton.

Since 2010, police have received complaints regarding graffiti vandalism at more than 250 public and private locations that carries the tag "Brute."

Police stopped what they call a suspicious-looking male teen riding a bike in the downtown area early one morning in January.

They say his hands, face and clothes had traces of paint and that he had spray cans with him, while a check of his residence turned up more evidence.

Police also say their investigation continues and more charges are pending.

The name of the youth cannot be published under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
