NHL's 3 Stars: Bobrovsky, Crosby, Carter

The NHL honoured goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, league-leading point man Sidney Crosby and red-hot sniper Jeff Carter on Monday as the three best players for the previous week.

Columbus goalie Bobrovksy was named first star after winning four games last week, including one in relief. Bobrovsky had a 0.77 goals-against average and .972 save percentage overall, racking up wins against Detroit (twice), Vancouver and Edmonton. He blanked the Red Wings on March 9 for his first career shutout.

Crosby took second star honours. The Penguins captain led all NHL players last week with nine assists and 11 points. He capped off his four-game week on Sunday with a five-assist performance against the New York Islanders in a 6-1 victory for Pittsburgh.

Kings forward Carter rounded out the list, scoring in all four games played for the week March 4-10. The highlight of those games was a hat trick performance against Nashville, and he scored two game winners for the week.
