A man who says he hopes to one day box in the Olympics has been sentenced for smashing a store window and trashing an unmarked police car during in Vancouver's Stanley Cup Riot.

Aman Singh Aujla was convicted of mischief and sentenced to serve 45 days in jail, but only on weekends, after his lawyer, Russ Chamberlain, successfully argued he should be allowed to continue boxing in Friday night tournaments to keep his Olympic dream alive.

Meanwhile Crown prosecutors announced on Monday another 23 adults and 10 youths are facing charges related to the June 2011 Stanley Cup riot in downtown Vancouver.

The province's Criminal Justice Branch says yesterday's announcement brings the numbers of those charged to 194. Of those, the criminal justice branch says 133 have entered guilty pleas and 65 have been sentenced.

The riot erupted after the Vancouver Canucks lost the playoff final against the Boston Bruins, and hooligans caused more than $4 million in damage in the city's downtown business district.
