CHILLIWACK, B.C. - RCMP say sonar is being used to scour an area of the Fraser River through Chilliwack, B.C., for a second victim from a Sunday night crash.

The driver of a pickup truck died just before midnight, March 10, when her vehicle smashed through a concrete barrier, sheared off a power pole and landed in the fast-moving water, about 100 kilometres east of Vancouver.

The woman's body was recovered a short time later and Chilliwack Mounties said they were checking to ensure no one else was in the truck.

Const. Tracy Wolbeck says it's believed a man was travelling with the woman and his body may be somewhere in the river.

Fraser Valley-area search and rescue crews are also helping with the recovery.

A cause of the crash is still under investigation and no names have been released.
