Man wounded in Abbotsford auto gunfight

A man was sent to hospital with gunshot wounds after people inside two vehicles traded shots in at least two locations in Abbotsford Friday night.

Abbotsford police Sgt. Casey Vinet said witnesses reported shots being fired from both vehicles near the intersection of Gladwin and Downes roads at about 10:15 p.m. PT

The vehicles then took off east on Downes Road and, minutes later, a 20-year-old man, turned up at the hospital with gunshot wounds. Police said he is known to them.

Police closed Downes Road between Gladwin and Seldon for several hours, and investigated a second location where shots were apparently fired. No arrests have been made.
