Mia Martina, 'HeartBreaker' Video Premiere

WATCH: Mia Martina 'HeartBreaker' Video Premiere

Canadian club crooner Mia Martina has come a long way from her early days as an intern at CP Records, home to Danny Fernandes and Massari.

She has a hit album under her belt, another one the way -- which Martina described to HuffPost Canada as "very edgy, a bit darker and sexy" -- and has now released a proper video for its dubstep-inflected "warmup" single, "HeartBreaker," which already racked up a quarter-million views with its viral teaser video.

The video for the dance-y song is made up of a variety of surreal, seizure-inducing images devoid of colour.

"The concept was to bring the viral video to life, keeping a very surreal feeling, almost as if you are in a dream. We wanted to keep the theme black and white to give it that extra edge," says Martina. " It was such a fun shoot. There really wasn't any bad part of filming this video. I am sure if you ask the crew this question though, they will say the worst part was cleaning the confetti after every take."

Watch the video for "HeartBreaker" above and as per Martina's instructions, "Lookout for the dancer in the cage. She is just amazing!"
