Bollywood film superstars, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, are confirmed to perform at the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) next month in Vancouver.

In addition, heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma will be co-hosting the red carpet gala and awards show on April 6 at BC Place Stadium, organizers revealed on Wednesday. The pair are starring together in the upcoming film, "Bombay Velvet," and will share the stage with comedic actor Boman Irani.

The Vancouver appearance will be Aishwarya's first international performance since she had her first child almost a year and a half ago, said organizers. The movie star appeared earlier this week at the Times Group’s Femina Miss India 2013 beauty pageant.

The royal couple of Bollywood will spend several days in British Columbia, said organizers.

Official TOIFA events begin on April 4, with a big concert at the Pacific Coliseum, followed by several screenings of Hindi films on April 5 and then the gala awards on April 6.

The B.C. government is spending $9.5 million on the three-day event, as well as another $1.5 million on a business forum and other trade events at the same time. The premier says it's a way to strengthen ties between British Columbia and India.
