Man stabbed during East Vancouver basketball game

A 23-year-old Vancouver man is in hospital after he was stabbed while playing a game of pick-up basketball in East Vancouver on Saturday.

Police say a group of teens and adults were on the outdoor court at Templeton Secondary School just before 8 p.m. on Saturday when one man was suddenly attacked with a knife.

He is now recovering from stab wounds in hospital.

Police found a suspect with the help of a police dog. A 24-year-old man is now in custody.
