VANCOUVER - B.C.'s election race doesn't officially begin until April 16, but New Democrats say they are already prepared — and very eager — to begin their campaign to oust the governing Liberals.

Provincial New Democrats finalized candidate selection in all 85 B.C. ridings over the weekend.

Spots were filled in four remaining constituencies, Peace River South, Peace River North, Boundary-Similkameen and West Vancouver-Sea to Sky.

NDP Leader Adrian Dix says his team can feel enthusiasm for change on doorsteps throughout the province.

Monday also marks the launch of the party's new TV ads.

The 28-day election campaign officially starts next Tuesday, and B.C. voters head to the polls on May 14.
