Aishwarya Rai's triumphant return to the stage had the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) audience in hysterics on Saturday night.
Rai descended to the stage at BC Place Stadium Saturday night on a grand elevator surrounded by glitter and lights, as seen in a YouTube video. The Bollywood star's performance was her first since having a baby.
The number started out slow, but picked up speed when Rai was joined by female dancers in flowing white dresses flashing golden peace symbols.
Rai was the show's star attraction alongside husband Abhishek Bachchan, who earlier called the city "beautiful" while the couple were in town.
TOIFA also hosted Bollywood celebrities such as Shahrukh Khan, Neha Dhupia and choreographer Shiamak Davar.
