The RCMP's organized crime unit has raided an Etobicoke home, where police allege methamphetamine was being produced inside a "clandestine drug laboratory."

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Turnvale Road, near John Garland Boulevard and Martin Grove Road, on Saturday morning.

RCMP Sgt. Brent Hill said residents were shocked to see police arrive at the suburban home where it is alleged the drugs were being made.

"Nobody wants to know that there is this sort of activity in their backyard, in their neighbourhood," he said.

Four people have been taken into custody. Charges are pending.
