Carey Mulligan may not be dripping in diamonds but she shines bright nonetheless.
The 27-year-old actress, who stars in the upcoming movie "The Great Gatsby," outshone her fellow actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Michelle Williams and Kate Hudson at the Tiffany & Co Blue Book Ball in New York last night.
Carey wore a Victoria Beckham tuxedo cape suit with matching black t-strap heels and new white-blond hair slicked back into a short crop.
And while many other celebs weren't shy with putting on makeup, Carey opted for a bare face.
The androgynous look is a far cry from Carey's "Gatsby" character, Daisy Buchanan, who wears gorgeous sequined '20s column dresses and feathered headbands in the movie trailer.
Carey also channels Daisy in the May issue of Vogue, modeling a green velvet Oscar de la Renta gown and gobs of diamond jewelry.
Speaking of sparkling things, Sarah Jessica Parker also attended the event wearing gorgeous sapphire jewels while Gwyneth Paltrow skipped the London premiere of "Iron Man 3" to pay homage to Tiffany & Co.
What do you think of Carey's tuxedo suit?
