Kulwinder Kaur Gill, a 42-year-old mother of two, was hit by a truck as she was walking along a rural road in Abbotsford with her husband in 2009.
At a press conference on Monday, officers from the Integrated Homicide investigation Team said the death was "well-planned."
The victim's husband, 49-year-old Iqbal Singh Gill, is charged with first-degree murder, said IHIT lead officer Kevin Hackett.
Two other men also face first-degree murder charges — Gurpreet Singh Atwal, 26, and Jaspreet Singh Sohi, 28.
A fourth man, 26-year-old Sukhpal Singh Johal, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and being an accessory after the fact.
Police said they could not comment on a possible motive, as the case is now before the courts.Suggest a correction
