B.C. Conservative Leader John Cummins has confirmed the party's North Vancouver-Lonsdale candidate Jeff Sprague has stepped down after allegedly driving while impaired.

Cummins confirmed the news on Monday morning after Sprague's biography was removed from the party's website on Sunday.

He was quickly replaced by Allan Molyneaux as the new candidate in the riding on the party website.

Cummings is also promising to release details today about MLA's expenditures that he says will increase transparency and highlight previously-announced Conservative plans to reform politicians' spending.
