Well, the Winnipeg Jets didn’t lose in regulation (5-0-1) in their just-completed homestand and weren’t any closer to a playoff spot in the National Hockey League’s Eastern Conference.
In the West, the Columbus Blue Jackets, led by the spectacular goaltending of Philadelphia Flyers castoff Sergei Bobrovsky, had won six of seven entering play Tuesday and were hanging on to eighth and final playoff spot.
