10 more alleged Stanley Cup rioters could face charges

Vancouver police are recommending charges against 10 more people who allegedly participated in the Stanley Cup riot.

The nine men and one woman, who range in age from 15 to 32, are facing a total of 34 new charges including:

- 12 charges of mischief.

- 10 charges of participating in a riot.

- 10 charges of break and enter.

- 1 charge of assault.

- 1 arson charge.

The charges have yet to be approved by Crown prosecutors.

In total Crown prosecutors have approved 650 criminal charges against 213 suspected rioters. Nearly 70 per cent of those charged have pled guilty and at least 56 convicted rioters have been sentenced.
