VANCOUVER - Vancouver Police have recommended another batch of charges in the 2011 Stanley Cup riot.

Police say 34 new charges have been sent to the Crown for approval against 10 more rioters.

In the almost two years since the riot after the Vancouver Canucks lost Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final to Boston, 1,086 charges involving 325 rioters have been recommended.

More than 100 people have pleaded guilty without trial and received sentences ranging from jail to house arrest.

The first person to actually go on trial for participating in the riot was found guilty on three charges earlier this month.

Police also said last month that 11 offenders who received non-jail sentences have been charged with breaking the conditions of their sentences, including failing to obey curfews or bans on drinking and returning to the scene of the riot.
