The Roots' Questlove Tells Nardwuar 'Rodney Dangerfield Was A Rap Pioneer' In Epic Interview (VIDEO)

Questlove Meets Nardwuar In Epic Interview

Proud Canadian and interviewer to the hip-hop stars Nardwuar The Human Serviette has worked his magic once again, leading The Roots drummer Questlove through an epic new 46-minute talk.

In this one, the Vancouver-based Nardwuar, whose interviews with the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, A$AP Rocky and Odd Future regularly clock millions of views, regularly befuddles Questo with his in-depth knowledge of the drummer's personal life and musical interests.

Questlove tells Nardwuar about how Hawaiian Punch inspired him to do something bad when he was three-years-old.

"I suckerpunched the shit out of my mother... I got in a lot of trouble for that," he tells Nard.

Additionally, Questlove addresses topics like Mel Brooks and Rodney Dangerfield's statuses as rap pioneers, the reason why MC Breeze's "Discombobulatorbubalator" got banned in the '80s, whether or not Lady B's "To The Beat Y'all" was the first female-fronted rap record and the relative merits of novelty rap.

Oh, and Questlove passingly mentions HuffPost at the 34-minute mark.
