Alberta is often called "Texas of the North" for our western ways, cowboys, oil reserves and booming economy.

And similar to the saying "Everything's Bigger in Texas," the same can be said of Alberta. The province is home to sprawling fields under prairie skies, the towering Canadian Rockies and rolling foothills. Its economic success has put Alberta on the map and people flock to the province to make a future for themselves.

But it's not just the salaries and mountains that are bigger in Alberta. There are scores of other things that Alberta is growing big, from malls, to roadside attractions, to national parks.
