The Met Gala is arguably one of the most fashionable nights of the year. (Sorry, Oscars!)
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala celebrates high fashion and attendees are expected to take plenty of style risks (no boring strapless dresses allowed!)
We've witnessed spectacular gowns such as honourable co-chair Beyonce's romantic feathered Givenchy in 2012 and Sarah Jessica Parker's tartan Alexander McQueen frock in 2006, to name just a few.
This year's theme celebrates punk couture and although we wish Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour wore a fauxhawk or Jennifer Lopez accessorized with safety pins in her ears, we can't complain about the seriously sexy gowns the stars wore at the Met Gala 2013.
